One Track Per Month: My Journey Through 2024 in Melodic/Progressive House Music by producer/artist LNA
2024 has been a year of creativity, growth, and discovery. As a producer and an artist, I challenged myself to create and release one track every month. This means I have been exploring my place in melodic/progressive house music community. Somehow I always make my tracks in minor key and have fell in love with punchy beats contrasted with atmospheric synths. My tracks are atmospheric, melancholic, and perfect for sunsets or chilling at the beach or embracing a euphoric feeling at the sunset.
Here’s a glimpse of my tracks so far:
Track Releases So Far:
January: "Every Time You Want Me"
February: "Good Choices"
March: "Things I Want"
April: "Curious"
May: "Overthinker"
June: "Softer Light"
July: "Weightless Night"
August: "Your Heat"
I have experienced the fair share of creative blocks during this time, but I have founs ways to over come them kept myself on the schedule. Reserving time to do live-streams on my Patreon have really helped as each reserved time-slot has forced me to make music on days I have not even felt it. I also noticed how I need direction and deadlines to make music. As soon as I felt like I didn’t have more concrete vision of what I waa making, I started to feel lost. So having a reference track or pre-planned workflow has really helped me to make tracks each moth that I really love.
Watch more on YouTube: With the music, I’ve been creating music videos on my artist YouTube channel, capturing real moments from my life in a vlog style. These videos visualize how my tracks fit into everyday life, giving listeners a chance to experience the emotion and atmosphere behind the music. Each video is personal and reflective of the space where the music was born.
On my tutorial YouTube channel, I’ve also been breaking down the production process behind each track. From the melodies and chords to the technical side of using Ableton Live, I’ve shared insights that could help other producers improve their craft.
What’s Next: I have four more tracks to release by the end of the year, and I’ll be streaming my creative process live on my tutorial YouTube channel. If you're interested in how a track comes together from start to finish, make sure to tune in!
To wrap up this incredible yeag, I’ll be compiling the final four tracks into an EP, which will be released at the end of November. I’ve learned so much about my craft and myself as a producer this year, and I’m excited to share more with you as we head towards the end of 2024.
Stay tuned for more music, videos, and tutorials!
